Chotto Matte: Culinary art meets material art
The London restaurant Chotto Matte combines Japanese and Peruvian culinary traditions - in a space that reflects this fusion architecturally. Pyrolave created the central tables and counters for the interior - made from enamelled lava stone with a deep, dark colour and fine texture.
A material with presence and depth
The smooth lava stone surfaces bring warmth and luxury into the room - powerful but elegant.
The colour nuances of the enamelled elements pick up on the architecture and blend harmoniously into the overall concept.
An experience for all the senses
Design and cuisine speak the same language: bold, precise, creative. The result is a space that extends the culinary experience beyond the visual - thought through down to the last detail.
Design with sophistication and function
The lava basins were deliberately combined with natural materials - wood, brass and stone. Enamelled lava stone not only provides visual depth, but also convinces with its natural appearance:
- Shock resistance and durability
- Easy-care, non-porous surface
- Timeless aesthetics with artisanal origins
This project shows how design, function and responsibility can work together.
The choice in favour of Pyrolave was a decision in favour of quality, sustainability - and aesthetics that last.
In the heart of Soho Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine on spectacular interiors:
Chotto mat is more than just a restaurant - it's an experience.
In the centre: Tables and counters made of enamelled lava stonewhich lend the room a warm, luxurious depth.
The bold colours and textured surfaces of the Pyrolave plates reflect the creative energy of Nikkei cuisine. The architecture of AMA combines tradition and modernity - just like the menu, which fuses umami and Peruvian freshness.
