The Flamingo: play of colours and lava art by the sea
In the popular coastal town of Timmendorfer Strand, the Hotel Flamingo welcomes its guests in a unique ambience: colourful, stylish, slightly retro - but clear in its design line. Pyrolave produced individual lava pools for this project, which were perfectly matched in shape and colour to the design of the hotel bathrooms.
When craftsmanship wears colour
Each lava basin was formed from volcanic rock from Auvergne and enamelled by hand.
The gently craquelled surface gives each piece depth and character - a sign of true craftsmanship with a clear design effect.
Suitable for everyday use and sophisticated
Easy to clean, impact-resistant and non-porous - the Lava effortlessly fulfils the requirements of an exclusive hotel business.
At the same time, it brings a subtle material aesthetic into the private space, noticeable and permanently present.
A silent dialogue with the Baltic Sea
The choice of materials and colour scheme reflect the atmosphere of the location - calm, sunny, close to nature:
- Inspiration from the coast, forest and light
- Colour tones between summer freshness and depth
- Lava as a link between nature and design
A project that makes an impact with its calm presence - and impresses with its quality in detail.
The Hotel Flamingo combines Playful retro design with high-quality fittings. For the bathrooms of the individually designed rooms Custom-made washbasins made of enamelled lava stone are used - colour-coordinated with every room concept.
The slightly craquelled surface gives the rooms a Natural depth and recalls the Structure of the coastal landscape - a perfect combination of function, form and atmosphere.
