Michalak: Where craftsmanship meets flavour
In Christophe Michalak's new store, aesthetics and indulgence merge into a spatial concept full of clarity.
Pyrolave supplied custom-made counter elements made of enamelled lava in the colour Ivoire - bright, elegant, perfectly staged.
Subtlety that has substance
The counters were made from Auvergne lava stone and enamelled by hand in Castelsarrasin.
The result is a velvety-smooth surface with a soft lustre - mineral, robust and elegant at the same time.
An interplay of surface and architecture
The back panel made of crackled ceramic picks up on the natural tressaillage of the lava stone surface.
This creates a stylistic connection in which material, structure and light correspond with each other.
Two brands. One claim.
This project represents the best of both worlds:
- French baking art with aesthetic appeal
- Precision craftsmanship in form and function
- A design that lasts
A place that epitomises the interplay of sensuality, style and substance.
In the Parisian boutique of Christophe Michalak meets The art of patisserie meets design culture.
The customised counters made from enamelled lava stone in Ivoire form the centrepiece of the room - discreetly shiny, resistant and handmade in the Pyrolave workshops in Castelsarrasin.
A stylistic highlight: the background made of Crackled ceramic the natural Tressaillage of the lava stone and creates an elegant, visual resonance between surface and architecture.
