Maison Cacao Yokohama: The quiet elegance of enamelled lava
In the heart of one of Yokohama's most exclusive shopping centres Maison Cacao a new space for Japanese chocolate art.
Pyrolave supplied a customised, gleaming white counter block made of enamelled lava - perfectly smooth, perfectly understated.
When the mineral ennobles minimalism
The chosen method for this project White glaze reflects the minimalist aesthetic of Maison Cacao: clean lines, natural materials and absolute precision.
The counter block - simple but sophisticated - was made entirely by hand from Auvergne lava stone and enamelled in our French studios.
The silent power of the material
As gentle as the surface appears, its core is powerful:
Enamelled lava stone is impact-resistant, durable and naturally textured - a rare combination of aesthetics and performance.
In this room, it becomes a discreet, mineral stage for the sensory experience of chocolate.
A dialogue between Japanese design and French craftsmanship
In this sophisticated environment, the lava from Pyrolave unfolds a Natural resonance with the Japanese design culture:
- Respect for the material
- Reduction to the essentials
- The appreciation of manual labour
A quiet but meaningful project - where every detail counts.
In the centre of the upmarket shopping district of Yokohama created Maison Cacao a place of pure chocolate culture.
The centrepiece: a Custom-made counter made of enamelled lava stone in brilliant whitemade of volcanic stone from Auvergne, enamelled with French precision - for Japanese minimalism in perfect form.
The counter appears quiet, yet powerful - like the stone itself.
Robust, elegant, simple - a symbol of the connection between French craftsmanship and Japanese design ethosReduction, respect and absolute clarity in every detail.
