Atelier 1907: Architecture translated into material
Architect Agnès Morguet designed a space in Wuppertal that combines living and working - with a clear design language and calm materials.
For the centrepiece of the room, Pyrolave produced a worktop and sink made of enamelled lava in a fine, light blue opaline shade.
Natural, durable and elegantly finished
The hand-worked lava stone from Auvergne was enamelled in our workshops and ensures a robust, easy-care surface with a natural shine.
The opaline colour brings soft brightness and an exciting contrast to the brass and wood elements.
Form, function and sensitivity
As an architect, Agnès Morguet planned every detail - from the connections to the surface.
The result is a well thought-out kitchen space that speaks a clear, timeless language through its choice of materials.
A place where architecture lives
This studio is more than just a functional space - it is a workshop, living room and showroom all in one. The lava connects here:
- Craft and design
- Resistance and aesthetics
- Everyday life and inspiration
A project that shows how architecture and material can be harmonised.
In the Atelier 1907 has architect Agnès Morguet created a place that combines functionality and aesthetics a kitchen as a studioas a space for living, discovering and working.
Central element: a Customised work area including sink made from Pyrolaveenamelled in the colour Opaline - pale blue, light-reflecting, timelessly beautiful.
The lava from the Auvergne brings depth of craftsmanship and Natural robustness into the room. The finely tuned contrast to the wood and brass emphasises the design concept of an architect who built for herself.
